Theresa A. Domenico’s depth of expertise and enthusiasm makes her an invaluable asset to McCumber Daniels and the clients she represents. Ms. Domenico focuses her practice on insurance defense litigation, nursing home litigation, medical malpractice, general litigation, and civil trial practice. Prior to joining McCumber Daniels, Ms. Domenico practiced civil litigation involving physician malpractice defense, pharmaceutical laboratory compliance and pain management, personal injury defense, nursing home litigation, products liability and insurance defense. Additionally, Ms. Domenico advised healthcare providers such as hospitals, physicians, nurses, pharmaceutical companies, nursing homes, insurers and other healthcare providers on all matters affected by Healthcare Law including Medicare and Medicaid compliance, risk management, malpractice litigation and general business management issues. She has educated staff at healthcare facilities all throughout the State of Florida about compliance with federal and state healthcare law. Ms. Domenico represents clients throughout all phases of the litigation process including settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration and trial.

In 2001, before entering private practice, Ms. Domenico worked in the Appellate Division at the State Attorney’s Office of the Sixth Judicial Circuit. In 2003, the Florida Supreme Court certified Ms. Domenico to the practice of law. There, she served as a prosecutor for the next 5 years. She has extensive experience as the lead attorney in multiple jury trials and arbitrations.

Ms. Domenico graduated from the University of South Florida receiving her Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in political science with a minor in business administration. She attended Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida where she received her Juris Doctor. After law school, Ms. Domenico completed three state judicial internships with the late Hon. Patrick K. Caddell, Hon. William H. Overton, as well as the late Hon. M.E. Tillman, who formerly served as a New York State Supreme Court Justice. She also routinely serves as a Judge for both Stetson University College of Law Trial Team and the National Collegiate Trial Team Competitions.
