Karen is a trial lawyer who handles complex medical malpractice defense litigation in civil jury trials. She has litigated numerous matters from inception through appeal for insurers and other medical institutions, representing hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, and other long-term care facilities. Karen has also served as defense counsel for large insurance carriers with automotive, trucking, premise, and personal liability policies and has litigated matters involving the defense of construction defect lawsuits for homebuilders and contractors.
An advocate for alternative dispute resolution, Karen has had success in mediating and arbitrating her clients’ cases. Karen is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. She has also argued before the Pennsylvania Superior Court and The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. Karen has been recognized by her peers as a “Rising Star” in the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers publication for her professional achievements in legal practice.
Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, her twins, and her extended family. She relaxes by going to the YMCA, yoga, reiki, and watching movies with her husband.
Karen does fundraising for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Unite For Her, and Living Beyond Breast Cancer. She volunteers for the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project, which provides lawyers to represent children in court, who would otherwise not have a voice.
