Growing up in Philadelphia, home to the historic Independence Hall, Joann Giangiulio was drawn to how laws and rules were made and followed. After taking a Constitutional Law Class in high school, she was hooked.

Ms. Giangiulio joined McCumber Daniels’ Pennsylvania office in 2015, bringing more than a decade of experience in medical malpractice defense, insurance coverage, professional liability, and general liability defense. She has expertly represented hospitals, physicians, nurses, physicians’ assistants, nurse midwives, and nursing homes in medical malpractice actions and has successfully arbitrated slip and fall actions in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania on behalf of national corporations.

Thorough and highly-organized, with a keen eye for detail, Ms. Giangiulio is a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars and is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. While attending law school in the evenings, Ms. Giangiulio administered grants provided by the Housing and Urban Development Office (HUD) to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania for low-income housing programs and emergency shelters.

Along with Constitution Hall, Ms. Giangiulio counts Ruth Bader Ginsberg as an early inspiration. She received her Juris Doctor from Widener School of Law in 1999, and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Lehigh University in 1992.

When not practicing law, Ms. Giangiulio volunteers at Gift of Life House, an organization for people waiting on transplants. She enjoys organizing social events, going to the beach, and attending Broadway shows.
